Something that I’ve realized with Vera is that time flies – to me she grows by the second. Every morning I look at her and think, “Oh my gosh, she is already so much bigger!” So, because time flies and my baby is only going to be a baby for so long, I have decided to make the most out of every single moment with her. So, today I partnered with Johnson’s Baby to show you how bath time can be so much more than just a time to get clean.

Vera’s skin is super sensitive, that’s why since she was born I made sure to use a product that would take care of her beautiful skin. Although I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of products out there, I knew I wanted a Johnson’s Baby product, because I trusted the quality since Johnson’s Baby has been in my family for generations. To start, I chose JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE™ line, which worked wonderfully. Now, I’m so excited to use their new and improved baby wash. The complete line includes a body lotion that we use everyday to do a little massage session right after her bath, and to be honest I’m not sure which one she enjoys the most. She is so happy and content every time I sing our little song that let’s her know we are going to take a bath, and when it’s over she is even more exited because she knows her little massage is coming. For this part of our relaxing session, I use the new JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE ™ Extra Moisturizing  Baby Cream, which is proven to leave baby’s skin hydrated for up to 24 hours. Our whole routine is a major part of what makes Vera happy and feel good while she’s at home. This is why, to us, bath time truly is more than just an opportunity to get clean. I added the massage into the routine because massages have been shown to improve baby’s skin health and overall development. La línea completa incluye una crema corporal que usamos todos los días para una pequeña sesión de masaje después de bañarse, y para ser honesta no sé cuál disfruta más. After our bath routine we always head to the playroom where we spend a couple of hours playing and laughing until she is ready for her nap. I always make sure to have the new JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE ™  Cleansing Cloths that provide the gentle cleansing of a JOHNSON’S® bath without the tub and water, whether at home or on the go, this one is also double the size of the average clansing cloth. I don’t know if this has happened to any of your babies but Vera suffers from acid reflux so it’s very convenient for me to have something like this all the time.

Después de nuestra rutina de limpieza, siempre nos vamos al cuarto de juegos a pasar unas horas jugando y riéndonos hasta que esté lista para su siesta. Siempre me aseguro de tener mis toallitas húmedas  de JOHNSON’S® HEAD-TO-TOE ™ Cleansing Cloths  que le proveen la limpieza de un baño de JOHNSON’S® sin bañera ni agua, en la casa o sobre la marcha y que tienen el doble del tamaño de una toallita humeda promedio. No sé si esto le pasa a alguno de sus bebés pero Vera sufre de reflujo, así que es muy practico tener una opción como está todo el tiempo conmigo.

Having Vera changed my life in so many ways, and it truly taught me to appreciate every single moment. At four in the morning or two in the afternoon, I am grateful for her sweet smile or her pitiful cry, although she definitely does more of the former (thank goodness). And as time goes on, I continue to think it just keeps going faster and faster. In order to really enjoy every phase, every day, I think the key is to be present and accept the responsibility that her happiness is my happiness. This really isn’t that difficult to accept since, in the end, it’s true.

Haber tenido a Vera me cambió la vida de muchas maneras, y realmente me enseñó a valorar cada momento. A las cuatro de la mañana o a las dos de la tarde, estoy agradecida por su hermosa sonrisa y su dulce llanto, aunque afortunadamente hay mucho más de su hermosa sonrisa (gracias a Dios). Mientras el tiempo pasa, sigo pensando que de alguna manera se acelera cada día. Y para poder disfrutar de cada fase, creo que lo más importante es estar presente y aceptar la responsabilidad de hacerla feliz. A fin de cuentas no es tan difícil aceptar esa responsabilidad porque es simple, su felicidad es mi felicidad.
