A Little Black Dress for the Summer

Hello loves! How are you? Sorry it took me a little longer than usual to get back on here, but I was a little under the weather, and being sick with a two-month-old baby is not easy. Today I woke up feeling better so we decided to go out and about, and we took a few pictures of this outfit, which I love. My favorite color has always been, and will always be, black. It’s solemn, elegant, feminine, and extremely flattering, it really has a ton of good things going for it so don’t hesitate to use it because it works with any and everything.

Since I am already using all of my summer outfits (you really can’t imagine how insanely hot it is here in Miami) this simple palm tree design seemed perfect, which, as I look at my closet, I see I have a minor obsession with similar designs. The combination of solid black with palm trees or some other green plant is definitely “a thing”. If you see a similar pattern, give it a try, I promise you’ll love it. So here you can see how Vera and I used black prints for the summer, which still hasn’t started but it’s already scalding hot! (Super cliché, I know, but it’s true!)

To top this outfit off, I added a few overlapping necklaces, which is a trend in accessories that has been “in” for a while, and with such a pronounced neckline like this one it looks amazing. And as you may have already noticed, every chance I get I put on a pair of heels. These platform sandals are a mega-must for the summer. They’re cool, comfortable, and black, so you definitely need a pair like these. They go with jeans, dresses, shorts, and almost any style, they’re so versatile, and what makes them so versatile is their simplicity. A pair of sandals like this will match with almost any style because of how neutral they are.

Hola bellezas! Como están? Perdónenme que me demoré un poquito más de lo usual en aparecer por acá pero estaba un poquito enferma y estar enferma con una bebé de dos meses no es fácil. Ya me siento mejor así que decidimos salir a pasear y aprovechamos de capturar esta propuesta que amé. Mi color favorito es el color negro, siempre lo ha sido y siempre lo será. Lo tiene todo, es sobrio, elegante, femenino, súper favorecedor, realmente está lleno de virtudes así que no dudes en usarlo nunca, que siempre y para todo va.

Como estoy ya usando todos mis outfits veraniegos (porque no se pueden ni imaginar el calor que está haciendo en Miami) me pareció perfecto este print de palmeras, que, por cierto, mirando en mi closet veo que tengo una pequeña obsesión con él. Esta combinación de negro con palmeras o maticas verdes, “it’s a thing”. Si ven algo de ese estampado por ahí, give it a try, les aseguro les va encantar. Así que les dejo aquí cómo Vera y yo vestimos negros estampados para este verano que todavía no comienza pero ya está que quema! (Súper cliché la frase lo sé, pero es verdad).

Le agregué además unos collares sobrepuestos, que es una tendencia en accesorios que tiene tiempo por ahí y en escotes tan pronunciados se ve súper bien. Y bueno ustedes saben, yo siempre que puedo me pongo un par de tacos. Estas sandalias son un súper must para el verano. Son frescas, cómodas y negras, así que necesitan un par así, van con jeans, vestidos, shorts y casi cualquier estilo, súper versátiles. Lo que las hace tan versátiles es lo sencillas que son. Un par así te va a permitir combinarlas con realmente cualquier estilo por lo neutro del modelo.
