Oh Lola

Wynwood is one of my favorite places in Miami, it has an artistic ambience but maintains a charming urban feel. I was very excited to see all of the changes in the walls, since every year during Art Basel a lot of artists come and change most of the walls to put new murals and it’s super fun to see all of their new work.

I only take pictures in Wynwood when the colors I’m wearing allow for it, because the walls are full of colorful and bright compositions so when you come to visit one of the coolest neighborhoods in the city, use basic/neutral colors so you can match any wall without worrying about what colors they are. Black is always my go-to for everything, so you know what they say, “when in doubt, wear black.”  That’s exactly what I do, and, similarly, white is perfect to match and stand out in between the variety of colors in the murals. I don’t recommend wearing patterns or bright colors.

 As soon as I saw this wall I fell in love, it went perfect with my choker sweater dress from TOBI. To be completely honest, I love this online store and the quality of their clothes, not to mention the variety. I must say it’s now one of my new obsessions.

 I wore over the knee boots for the pictures, but then I changed into my “mom shoes” (tennis shoes) and I highly suggest you do the same. The only way to find and appreciate the beauty and true works of art is walking each and every last block in Wynwood. Even though it’s not a big neighborhood, it’s not quite small enough to walk in heels.

Wynwood es uno de mis sitios favoritos en la ciudad, tiene un ambiente artístico but yet urbano encantador. Estaba súper emocionada por ver los cambios, todos los años en Art Basel cambian la mayoría de las paredes por nuevos murales y es súper divertido ir a ver todos los cambios.

 Yo sólo tomo fotos en Wynwood cuando los colores de mi outfit me lo permiten, las paredes están llenas de composiciones de arte coloridas y recargadas así que cuando vengas a visitar uno de los neiborhhoods más cool de la ciudad, usa colores básicos/neutros así vas a combinar con todas las paredes, sin importar qué tan coloridas sean. El negro siempre es mi go-to para todo, como dice el dicho “when in doubt, wear black” y así es, de la misma manera el blanco es perfecto para combinar y resaltar entre la variedad de tonos de los murales. No te recomiendo estampados ni colores muy brillantes.

Yo cuando vi esta pared me enamoré e iba perfecta con mi choker sweater dress de mi última compra en TOBI. En realidad me encantó esta tienda online, amé la calidad de la ropa y la variedad. Debo decir que es una de mis nuevas obsesiones.

Yo usé mis botas over the knee para las fotos pero luego me cambié a mis “mom shoes” (zapatos de goma) y te recomiendo que hagas lo mismo. La única manera de apreciar y encontrar bellezas y obras de arte maravillosas es caminando todas y cada una de las cuadras, la verdad no es muy grande pero tampoco es apto para caminar en tacones.
