We millennial moms are a little different than any before us, since we put a new spin and gave a new meaning to the beautiful work that moms do day-in and day-out, and by no means are we limited by this new meaning. On the contrary, we are inspired by our role in the world and we not only feel capable of doing anything, but we also prove we can do anything, too! In collaboration with Well Beginnings™ and Walgreens, I wanted to do a post on the 5 wins that make us stand out and show our versatility! I’m also going to share a few crucial personal choices that have helped make my daily life easier as a millennial mom and more efficient, too!

Al contrario, nos inspira y no sólo sentimos que somos capaces de todo, probamos que somos capaces de todo. En colaboración con Well Beginnings™ y Walgreens quise hacer un post que hablara de las 5 cosas que nos distinguen y demuestran nuestra versatilidad! Además voy a compartir varias cosas que yo uso para hacerme la vida más fácil y eficiente relacionado con ellos!
- Practicality: one of the most common characteristics of millennial moms is the natural ability to find weave practicality into everything we do. It’s so important to not over-complicate our lives and use products that are sure to make our lives easier, like choosing easy-to-use strollers that can be opened and closed in the blink of an eye, and can fit anywhere we go. These are crucial for the day-to-day get-up-and-go, and for any mom that is always on the go!
- Practicidad: Una de las características más usuales de una mama millennial es su facilidad y naturalidad para la practicidad. No complicarse la vida es importante y usar productos que se caractericen por hacernos la vida más fácil es parte definitiva de nuestro día a día, como por ejemplo coches fáciles de ensamblar que caben en todos lados y son perfectos para el día a día y para esa mamá que está siempre on-the-go.
2. Comfort: another very important feature of millennial moms is how important it is that we feel comfortable. There are so many products out there today that offer everything in one, meaning they let us keep our lifestyle without sacrificing style or comfort – like a diaper backpack, for example. This is probably one of the best and truly useful ideas that we’ve seen and we are so thankful to the brands that take the time to think not only about a functional product but also one that’s stylish. There are all kinds and sizes, so if you’re a mom-to-be this is an absolute must-have!
2. Comodidad: Otra de las cosas más importantes es sentirnos cómodas. Hoy en día hay productos que nos brindan todo y nos permiten mantener nuestro estilo de vida sin sacrificar el estilo ni la comodidad, como las pañaleras de morral: es la mejor y más genial idea que han tenido y miles de gracias a esas marcas que se preocupan por no sólo hacer un producto funcional sino también súper stylish. Las hay de todas las formas y tamaños, así que si eres mom-to-be este es un absolute must have!
- Best Choice of Product (product and quality): millennial women are also known for our financial savviness. We plan and form a major and active part in family finances, budgeting for vacations, or other occasions. We also always look for the best option in whatever it is that we’re doing, and that doesn’t necessarily mean it has to be the most expensive. Actually, we really like to focus on well-rounded products that offer us everything. In fact, my latest and most fabulous discovery on this front has been Well Beginnings™: everything from their diapers, baby wipes, and infant formula, which you can find at Walgreens!
Their products have it ALL: accessibility, price, and quality. Al contrario, nos enfocamos en un producto well-rounded que nos brinde todo y aquí entra mi nuevo y más fabuloso descubrimiento que es la línea de pañales, wipes y fórmula de Well Beginnings™ que puedes encontrar en Walgreens. - Freedom but Together: we absolutely love being around our kids, we never need a break from them (OK, maybe sometimes) –giggles- but we truly love being and playing with them, and being first in line to watch them go through each and every phase. So the most common (and happy) trait you’ll see in millennial parents (dads included) is how our kids don’t stop us from doing anything, and we take them with us wherever we go. The best example of this is the awesome baby wear collection that’s out there. I’ve talked about this before, but it really is one of my favorite inventions because it gives you freedom but at the same time the possibility to make a beautiful connection with your baby. I still use mine with Vera and we both just love using them!
- Freedom but Together: Amamos estar con nuestros hijos, no necesitamos un break de ellos (bueno a veces) –risas- nos encanta estar con ellos, jugar con ellos y ser parte de todas sus etapas en primera fila. Así que es lo más común del mundo (y cómodo) es ver cómo ahora las mamás y papás millennials viven con sus bebés encima. La mejor forma de esto es baby wear, y les he hablado de esto antes, de verdad es una de mis invenciones favoritas porque te da libertad pero te permite la posibilidad de hacer crecer una conexión única y maravillosa con tu bebe. Yo todavía los uso con Vera y las dos los amamos!
- Making Smart Use of Our Technology: we are resourceful, so we use all the resources we can to help us with our little ones. We don’t count any products out, in fact we do our best to get the most out of all of the cameras, apps, social media sites, online forums, anything and everything that gets us more “in the know” and makes us feel better. Of course we want to be a part of everything our babies do, because we are the first to suffer from FOMO, so there’s no way we aren’t going to do everything we can to watch them grow and be present every moment possible! My favorite techy products are Vera’s camera which is installed on her crib and lets me see how she’s doing while she sleeps. It’s awesome, especially for newborns, and I also recommend the MomMaps app, which gives you recommendations for parks, playgrounds, restaurants, and museums in your area (cool right?). It helps me organize my schedule with Vera and I always find new things to do and share with her!
- Uso de la Tecnología: somos recursivas, así que usamos todos los recursos. No dejamos nada por fuera, aprovechamos, las cámaras, los apps, las redes sociales, los foros online, todo lo que nos permita saber más y sentirnos mejor y más seguras y por supuesto ser parte de todo porque somos las primeras en sufrir de FOMO así que there’s no way que no vamos a estar ahí para verlo y hacerlo! Mis productos de tecnología favoritos desde que Vera nació han sido su cámara que está instalada en su cuna y me permite verla siempre que esté dormida. Es genial, sobre todo para cuando están recién nacidos, y otro que les recomiendo 100% es este app que se llama MomMaps que tiene recomendaciones de parks, pleaygrounds, restaurantes y museos en tu área. Me permite organizar mis actividades y siempre consigo cosas nuevas para compartir con Vera.
All moms are fabulous and fantastic, it doesn’t matter the era, we live in a fast-paced time and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. But let me tell you, you’re doing a GREAT JOB, I know, I’m a mom (and we know everything, remember?) – giggles-. But seriously, we’re just doing the best we can with the best we have, so let’s take advantage of all of our resources, and kick butt!
