Oh Lola

Do you remember how we already talked about kimonos which have been around a while and are staying for the summer? Well this one’s from H&M, and I just loved it because it’s black and as I also already mentioned I LOVE black and, who says we can’t use a little black in the summer? This is the way to do it, using a soft fabric with plenty of movement, very “flowy”, and a cute flower print and that’s it! It’s such a relaxed and feminine look. These sandals are perfect for other mommas like me (perhaps a little on the short side) that love to wear heels. This is a non-heel-like heel, since it manages to help you look taller and make your legs look longer without any heel-like incline, and all of this thanks to the platform. These are actually from Forever 21 last summer, and they let you carry your baby and do all of your things feeling super comfortable but in heels (bust out the confetti)!

This is something else, which I had mentioned I was going to talk to you all about, all of the baby-wear, baby wrap, and other baby carriers out there. I LOVE them. I actually have several and I use all of them. It depends on what I’m going to do or how comfortable I need to be, but the truth is that to me they simply offer the best option to carry your baby, especially if you’re moving around.

In our case, Vera loves laying all over us and we, of course, have no problem “spoiling” her, we really do love carrying her. I put “spoiling” in quotation marks because people generally recommend not to hold your baby too much or not to let them sleep with you or not to let them get too used to certain things. I think it’s a very personal decision. Babies are only babies for such a short amount of time, and you have to enjoy them or at least I prefer to enjoy mine and not miss a single second of any of her phases. The reality is these products have worked wonders for us. They are so convenient for me to do everything, I can do a ton around the house, I go shopping, I get ready, I put on make up, I write, I really can do it all. So, if you’re questioning whether or not you should get one of these baby carriers, don’t hesitate to try them any longer. Look for the style that best matches you and what you like and give it a try, I promise you’ll love it, and your little one will too.

¿Recuerdan que ya les había comentado acerca de las túnicas o kimonos que tienen rato por ahí y se quedan para el verano? Bueno, ésta es de H&M, la amé porque es negra y como ya (también) les había dicho amo el negro y, ¿quién dijo que no podemos usar negro en verano? Esta es la manera, una tela suave con movimiento y floreada y ya… Es un look relajado y súper femenino. Estas sandalias son geniales para las mamis especialmente si son como yo (chiquiticas) y les encanta estar en tacones. Este es un tacón no tacón, es decir, cumple con la función de hacerte ver más alta y alargar tus piernas sin la inclinación y eso gracias a la plataforma. Estas son del verano pasado de Forever 21, así que puedes cargar a tu bebé y hacer todas tus cosas igual sintiéndote súper cómoda pero en tacones (papelillo de celebración).

Este es otro tema, que les había dicho que iba a tocar, el del cangurito. Yo lo amo, en realidad tengo varios y los uso todos. Depende de qué vaya a hacer o qué tan cómoda necesite estar, pero la verdad es que se me hace una de las mejores opciones para cargar a tu bebé.

En nuestro caso, Vera ama estar encima de nosotros y nosotros que no tenemos ningún problema con “malcriarla”, amamos tenerla encima. Digo “malcriarla” así entre comillas porque la gente usualmente recomienda no alzar mucho a los bebés o no dormirlos contigo o no dejarlos que se malacostumbren a ciertas cosas. Yo creo que es una decisión muy personal. Los bebés son bebés por muy poco tiempo y hay que disfrutarlos o por lo menos yo prefiero disfrutar a la mía y no perderme ni un segundo de todas y cada una de sus etapas, y la realidad es que a nosotros nos va de maravilla con estos productos. A mí me sirven mucho para hacer cosas mías, hago compras, me arreglo, me maquillo, escribo, hago cositas de la casa, de todo. Así que si están dudando sobre estos famosos canguritos, de verdad no lo duden más, busquen el estilo que más les convenga y que más les guste y pruébenlo, seguro les va a encantar, y a su chiquito también.
