Oh Lola

The first post in 2017 (CONFETTI)! How exciting to start the new year! The truth is 2016 was the most incredible year of my life, without a doubt. I’ll keep all of the amazing things I lived through and experienced deep in my heart forever, and I’ll remember them as the most special moments of my life. Not only was Oh Lola born, which has been one of my greatest adventures, but my daughter was also born, who is the light of my life. Professionally and personally it was an awesome year, full of changes and transformations, but it was also a year of self-evolution, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that.

Now, what we really came here for, to talk about this work of art. My goodness! This dress reminds me of a post I wrote a few months ago when I first opened the blog (here’s the link), where I talked about a story about love at first sight. I don’t know if this happens to you guys, but to me it happens immediately and there’s not a doubt in my mind, it’s simply love in all its splendor. Most of the time I don’t even try on whatever it is I fall for, which is what happened ot me with this dress. I saw it and said, Oh. My. God. Let’s go home, love. This ethnic style is one of my favorites, I love the combination of fabrics and textures, embroidery and colors. Everything together in one piece makes me feel like I’m wearing a true work of art (and it really is). I of course took advantage that Vera had this beautiful little dress, and I decided to have us match, not in style or in colors, but in texture, since that is actually one of the best ways to match with your little ones. As I always say, I think just matching colors is sometimes too much. I like contrasting colors more, but the combination of these textures together really looked great I thought. Vera doesn’t have a problem wearing any of her millions of bows, of all sizes, any day, every day, but what we still haven’t figured out is how to get her to keep on a pair of shoes (giggles). So there you have it, our little barefooted beauty, happy and as always, very stylish.

I match pretty much everything with what I dub my “mom shoes”, so if you don’t have a pair of white tennis shoes, run out and get a pair, there a true game changer. You can wear literally anything you want and still be comfortable and super chic.

El primer post del 2017 ¡(PAPELILLO)! Qué emoción empezar este nuevo año, la verdad el 2016 fue el año más maravilloso de mi vida sin duda alguna. Las cosas que viví este año me las llevo guardadas en mi corazón para siempre, como los momentos más especiales de mi vida. No sólo nació Oh Lola, que ha sido una de mis greatest adventures, pero además nació mi hija que es la luz de mi vida. Profesional y personalmente fue un año maravilloso de cambios y transformaciones pero espacialmente de evolución y yo no puedo estar más agradecida.

 Ahora a lo que vinimos, a hablar de esta obra de arte, ¡¡¡por dios!!! Este vestido me recuerda a un post que escribí hace meses cuando recién se abrió el blog, (aqui les dejo el link). Hablaba de una historia de amor a primera vista, no sé si les pasa pero a mí me pasa que a veces veo algo y no hay duda, y hay amor profundo. Generalmente ni me lo mido, eso me pasó con este vestido, lo vi y dije ¡¡¡oh por dios!!! Let’s go home love… Este estilo étnico es uno de mis favoritos. Me encanta la combinación de telas y texturas, bordados y colores, todo junto en una pieza me hace sentir que tengo puesta una obra de arte (y así es). Aproveché que Vera tenía este vestido y decidí combinarnos, no en estilos ni en colores pero sí en texturas. Es una de las mejores maneras de combinarse con sus pequeños de hecho, siempre les digo, creo que combinar colores a veces es too much, constrastar me gusta más pero esta combinación de texturas me encantó. Vera no tiene problema con tener sus lazos de todos los tamaños todo el día todos los días, lo que sí no podemos conseguir es que se deje los zapatos puestos (risas) así que ahí la tienen descalza y feliz, pero siempre super stylish. 

Yo combino prácticamente todo con mis “mom shoes”, si no tienen un par de deportivas blancas, corran ya a comprarlas, son un game changer de verdad, se van a poder poner lo que quieran pero siempre cómodas y súper chic.
