Oh Lola

Hello my beauties! Today’s post is very special and fun, since it’s about a great do it yourself (DIY) project. As some of you may know, jeans and jackets and pretty much anything made of denim with patches are completely “in” right now, similar to a 90’s trend some of you might remember (which is super fun). After seeing these kinds of patched denim pieces in a few stores, I started thinking about creating one myself. One day, I messaged my blogger bestie, Ana from Moda Addicted (here’s the link to her blog), I mentioned the idea to her and asked if she wanted to do a collaboration, to make the project even more fun. She said yes, of course, and we had an awesome time, laughing the whole time we made our DIY jeans.

Materials:

Jeans (or whatever kind of denim piece you want to use).

Patches.(this where the ones we bought).

Fabric glue.

An iron.

A cloth (to help iron).

In all honesty this is probably the easiest project done by hand in history. To start, just lay out whichever denim piece you chose on a table or another flat surface.

Then, choose which patches you want to use and where.

We bought several basic patches, the kind you can glue on and others that have a plastic film on the back so you can make them adhere to the jeans just by using an iron.

Rub the glue on the patch. Make sure you apply enough glue to all corners and edges.

Then, put the patch on the space you planned.

If you chose a patch that has the plastic film on the back, you need to choose a spot to put the patch, then cover it with a cloth of some sort and iron it on, holding down firmly for approximately 20 seconds.

It really is that easy to get a fresh, fun look and, at the same time, you take advantage and reinvent whatever piece you chose which you probably don’t use that often. I hope you enjoyed this DIY post, and that you have as much fun as I did when you give it a try.

Hola fabulosas, el post de hoy es súper especial y divertido, se trata de un proyecto de “hazlo tu misma”. Saben que ahora están de moda los jeans y chaquetas y piezas de denim en general con parches como se usaban en los 90’s (súper divertido). Tenía en mi mente que quería hacer este proyecto y un día le mande un mensaje a mi blogger bestie Ana de Moda Addicted (aquí el link a su blog) decidí comentarle y ofrecerle hacer una colaboración conmigo en este post y que se convirtiera en un proyecto aún más divertido y así fue. La pasamos divino, nos reímos y creamos nuestros jeans con parches.

Materiales:

Jeans (o cualquier prenda de denim que quieras usar).

Parches. 

Pega para tela.

Plancha.

Pañuelo.

En realidad es el proyecto de manualidad más fácil de la historia, sólo debes extender tu prenda en una mesa o superficie plana.

Luego ubica los parches donde quieres pegarlos.

Compramos parches sencillos que son los que se pegan con la goma y parches que tienen una especie de plástico por detrás que son los que se pegan con la plancha.

Aplica la pega en el parche. Asegúrate de que todas las esquinas y bordes tengan suficiente pega.

Luego ubica el parche en el lugar que ya habías asignado para el.

En el caso del parche con el plástico por detrás, necesitas ubicar el parche en donde lo quieres pegar, luego poner un pañuelo y luego poner la plancha encima, presionar y mantener por unos 20 segundos.

Así de fácil es cómo consigues un look nuevo y divertido y además aprovechas y reinventas ese vestido o esos jeans que ya no usas. Espero que les haya gustado y que se diviertan mucho cuando lo hagan.
