Let’s please talk about the color of this dress before we get to anything else! Who else has an obsession with this color? It’s a beautiful mauve, a color I am always drawn to wherever I see it. I am completely in love with it and I’m already using it for my second season in a row. The truth is whenever I see this color I hurry to get whatever piece I find, because it’s the perfect tone, it’s flattering for almost every skin tone, and it’s very easy to match with other colors. As always I chose black which is my go-to base color almost every time, with a few accessories in metallic silver and I used the same color for my purse.

I found this dress in an online store, TOBI, that I just found and it’s definitely my newest obsession – I’m including the link so you can take a look at all they have to offer! I also wore my ankle boots from Target again, along with this jacket I got on sale from H&M that I loved because of its texture and the patent material. The jacket really adds an edgy yet chic look that I completely love.

This post is really about how to wear patent pieces, and the truth is that we should apply the rule of “less is more”. A crackle patent leather jacket is very flashy, so you just have to let it be the protagonist of the outfit. Use solid colors that let you add a daring accessory to give it the final touch. Don’t overload the look with patterns or flashy colors. In all seriousness it’s the perfect accessory so give it a chance, go and shine with what is sure to be the coolest jacket in the room!

Por favor primero hablemos del color de este vestido, ¿quién más aquí tiene una obsesión con este color? En inglés se llama “mauve”, en espanol lo definiría como una especie de rosado pero con un toque de morado (osea perfección). Yo estoy completamente enamorada, ya tengo casi dos temporadas usándolo y la verdad que cada vez que veo algo en ese color corro a comprarlo, es el tono perfecto, es súper favorecedor para básicamente todos los tonos de piel y súper fácil de combinar con otras tonalidades. Yo como siempre escogí el negro que es mi color base casi siempre. Combiné con algunos accesorios en metallic silver y usé el mismo color de bolso.

Este vestido lo encontré en una tienda online que acabo de encontrar y es mi nueva obsesión, se llama TOBI y les dejo el link para que la chequen. Además de vuelta mis ankle boots de Target, con esta chaqueta que compré en las rebajas de H&M y la amé por la textura y el patente del material, le da un toque edgy yet chic al look y eso me encanta.

Este post es de cómo usar este tipo de piezas patentes justamente, la verdad es que es básicamente debemos de aplicar esta regla de “menos es más”. Sin duda una chaqueta de cuero patente es bastante llamativa, así que sólo tienes que dejarla ser la protagonista del outfit. Usa tonos sólidos en piezas de un solo bloque que te permitan agregar una prenda tan atrevida sólo para darle el toque final. No recargues el look con estampados ni colores fuertes, en realidad es el accesorio perfecto así que dale la oportunidad y sal a brillar con lo que seguramente será la chaqueta más cool del room!
