Oh Lola

Family Sundays are my favorite. Nothing makes me happier than being with my two loves all day, giving kisses and hugs (and taking pictures – giggles). This Sunday was special, though, because we also spent it with friends. I’ve always said friends are the family you choose to have, and I think I’ve always had very good luck choosing mine. Every place I’ve gone throughout my life I’ve had the opportunity to meet and become very close with truly special people. I think it’s important for everyone to surround themselves with good, kind people, who have that distinct energy of the good hearted, including creative people who can also inspire. I always look for these qualities in people I choose to accompany me on my journey, and I don’t regret giving this aspect of my life all of the significance it deserves.

 To go out on Sunday I always try to put together a relaxed, comfortable look. A simple, white and black dress is perfect when you “don’t have anything to wear,” or if you don’t have time and you’re on the run (which was my case, since we made plans to have brunch with friends at 10 a.m. and I woke up at 9 a.m. – not good). When you put together a relaxed look like this, the best thing you can do is add a statement piece, or a “wow” piece that changes the entire tone of the situation, and that’s what a jacket like this one successfully does. This is a suede jacket I immediately loved (must have alert), the color is one of my favorites for fall and the biker cut is great to match different styles. Mine is from Zaful. We had such a good time, we ate amazing food and all of my friends loved my jacket (WIN!!). So now you know the formula is as simple as this: good friends + statement piece = perfect Sunday! Kisses my loves and we’ll catch up very soon on the interwebs!!! (Insert the nerdy emoticon here with the two teeth sticking out, that’s me).

Los domingos en familia son mis favoritos, no hay nada que me haga más feliz que tener a mis dos amores conmigo todo el día besándonos, abrazándonos (y tomando fotos –risas-). Este domingo fue especial tho, porque además estuvimos en la compañía de amigos. Yo siempre he dicho que los amigos son la familia que uno escoge y creo que siempre he tenido mucha suerte con “la familia que escojo”. En cada lugar al que he ido y cada momento particular de mi vida he tenido la oportunidad de conocer y compartir con gente maravillosa. Yo creo que es importante rodearse de eso, de gente buena y bonita, que te contagien de amor y energías positivas, gente creativa que sean motivo de inspiración. Siempre busco eso en las personas que escojo para que me acompañen por el camino y no me arrepiento de darle la importancia que creo se merece. 

Para salir a pasear de domingo siempre escojo un look relajado y cómodo. Un simple vestido blanco o negro es perfecto cuando “no tienes qué ponerte” o no tienes tiempo y debes salir corriendo, (como fue mi caso, porque nos íbamos de brunch con nuestros amigos a las 10 a.m. y yo me desperté a las 9 a.m., not good). Cuando llevas un look así de simple lo mejor que puedes hacer es agregarle un “Statement Piece,” una pieza wow que cambie todo el tono de la situación, y eso es lo que hace una chaqueta como esta. Es de suede (must have alert) el color es uno de mis favoritos para el otoño y el corte motero es perfecto para combinar estilos. La mía es de Zaful. La pasamos súper lindo, comimos divino y todas mis amigas amaron mi chaqueta (WIN!!). Así que ya saben la fórmula es sencilla: buenos amigos + statement piece = domingo perfecto!
